Air Filter for 440

Hi,

I am looking at a K&N X-Stream air filter assembly for my 440 Cuda.

I am going to keep my snorkle air cleaner for shows, but I need something a bit more efficient for daily driving.  Has anyone tried these and are there any recommendations as to which one is best for height and diameter.

I have one on my 440. I have a flat hood, so I went with the drop-down assembly.

 I got an 14" XStream top. Works great! Get the drop down base, your going to need all the clearance you can get. I use the K&N drop down base.
 Can't help ya with filter height because I run a small block.

K&N's website has a calculation for air filter size.  I'm guessing you'll need bigger.  I can't remember the dimensions of mine (am at work right now), but think I went with about 4" tall and 14" diameter?  Hope I'm not way off.  The main thing I remember was that a little increase in height gets you more volume than a little increase in diameter.  I hope the XStream works well for you.  Cheers.
