Nice score!
« on: October 10, 2008 - 06:31:45 PM »
I scored a set of assembled '516 heads in pretty nice shape for 50 bucks. I know they're not the most disirable head in the world, but they are closed chamber and I figure if I put larger valves and hardened seats in them, they'll be pretty good heads. Reguardless, I can't go wrong for 50 bucks.

I agree , I like the 516 heads as they have the better closed chamber design & with large valves make great power

Great score! I got a set last year for 60 but they were bare and rusty. Ream those suckers out for bigger valves and even with a simple throat cleanup they are compression adding, power generating fools.
