Door crunch / spot welder -- went well!
« on: August 10, 2006 - 04:27:31 PM »
:grinyes: Every once in a while, there's a better-than expected bodywork day! :grinyes:

While waiting for a tool to arrive, I attacked a crunched door on my Cuda this morning.  This was the first time I've used a stud welder, and it's a wonderful tool for pulling dents!  I've posted pics and details on my webpage:

I don't know how I lived without mine. I use it for everything. Even dings on longitudinals
I do hate those little holes it sometimes leaves but it's better then drilling for the old style slide hammer

You can use the same tool for welding on those little trim studs like the kind that holds the chrome on top of the 'CUDA doors

Intersting!  I need some around the front and rear windows to hold the chrome clips on, and also for the rocker moldings.  What do you use for the studs?

Thanks,
