power steering brackets, what is correct for 440
« on: August 11, 2006 - 09:48:42 AM »
I have three different power steering pumps and brackets sitting around my garage. I don't think any of them were used on an RB car. None of them seem to fit. Can anyone tell me if I can make them work or what year do I look at to find a good set of replacements.
The rear bracket appears to be the same on all mine but the fronts are all different. How many darn variations are there?

Lots of different brakets
without pix it is hard to help , there were 2 different pumps , Federal & Saginaw + different years & applications EB&C bodys & also trucks that positioned the pump differently

Well here is the 440 with a pump that I cleaned up and installed. The brackets obviously don't fit correct I was just tired of taking the thing off and on.

Here is a bracket that came with the car, but was not on the car so I do not know if it goes.
BTW the 440 is in a 73 Challenger.

This is a pump that came with a 72 Challenger I bought last year. It was not installed on the car so I also don't know what combo it works for.
