Need help
« on: January 16, 2007 - 02:37:18 PM »
Since the challenger is apart and has 37 year old wiring which is removed from the engine compartment (old picture)  for the compartment painting -

is it a good time now to install a Painless Performance 18 circuit trunk mount wiring harness?

the trunk is empty, no seats or carpet etc in the vehicle.

Has anyone installed this?  Painless said it is simple -

The auto electric company wants like $600 but would rather have the engine in the car

Your thoughts and assistance appreciated

Use the Year One wiring.  Very easy and uses factory colors and conectors to make it look good.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

:iagree:  When I go to redo the wiring in my Cuda here in a couple of months, the Year One wiring is what I'm going to use.  I have heard from many people that it is the best stuff out there.

Unless you're doing some real custom wiring (omitting some things, adding new things, or running the wires someplace else for whatever reason) I would go with Year One.

I have used the painless systems , they are GM based & color coded & it takes a lot of time to hook every cicuit up
personally I would use the Mopar replacement harness from Year one or others
