Dash removal
« on: June 27, 2003 - 10:08:09 AM »
Is it possible to pull out the entire dash assembly as one piece? I want to leave all wires and guages attached. It is a non ac 73 challenger. I need to get to the cowl vents and fix them and also got some minor rust to fix.  What reference materials would show removal and installation?

Yes it is relatively easy to do , there are 6 bolts , 4 in the defroster vents & 1 at each end by the kick panel , you also need to pull the firewall plug , disconnect the vent cables & heater cables & drop the column as the dash is pinched between the column & pedal support

It's really hard to get to the ones in the defroster vents with the front windshield in... I don't know if you want to go through the effort of pulling it... but from experience... with it out... those 4 bolts are sooooo easy to get to... ::) Good luck!
