71 Cuda...It's Alive!
« on: August 30, 2006 - 07:51:42 PM »
Hi gang,

I thought I would share my excitement as we finally got all the loose ends buttoned up and fired up my 71 Cuda for the first time since last summer when we hauled the engine.  I couldn't believe that it started on the first try especially with all of the wiring and components that I replaced.  I was certainly expecting smoke and sparks...lol, but nothing but pure Ma Mopar Music.....vroommm.

Next week it goes back to the resto shop for final body panel placement and paint.  I think I might just make it in time for Carlisle 2007. :bananasmi

Thanks for all the kind words.  I guess today was sort of a payday for all the hard work that has gone into my cuda so far but it sure felt like I hit the lottery when I drove it up my driveway and into her new garage for the first time.

I think tomorrow I may even take it down the block to see how she runs. My neighbor the cop will love seeing that burning down the street...no fenders, hood or doors or signals.  :22yikes:

Rev,  Yes it definitely was a five banana day!
