Did you get or find that kit from www.hybrid-fiberglass-solutions.com  :dunno:

I got a "6bbl" air cleaner for my 4bbl. Won't clear my hood due to the fact I have a high rise intake.
And I'll be danged if I'm taking the high rise off to fit an air cleaner. lol

You also need to make the cross bar that attaches to the two nuts on the base plate.
Not a hard mod but something he didn't tell me when I ordered.

Good service though, fast shipping and helpful emails.
I may sell mine or "try" and make it fit later on, right now it's the last thing on my mind.

Regards,
Carl

Yes that's the site.  Thanks for the heads up on the bracket.  I have a T/A hood so clearance shoudn't be an issue, but you never know.

Thanks for the input

I would not worry too much about clearance either.  That's the beauty of fiberglass repro parts - modify them all you want

No worries 72chall.  :2thumbs:

I would worry about clearance, been there done that. lol It wouldn't fit on my set up, we have a high-rise though...
You can trim the bottom hole to suit but you can only trim so much.  :-\ We haven't tried 100% though but I'm hoping we'll get it to work.

72Chall - You should have no worries with you T/A hood if you're using your stock intake.
If you're using a high-rise it will be close but it should clear by a good 1"

I used a 340-4bbl shaker base with no adaptor ring, glued the seal to the base, and trimmed off a section of the carb neck area to get the angle right, and it seals to a Cuda AAR reproduction very well. The engine is a B wedge with a tall intake tho...not a 340...
