Trans. shifter shape
« on: August 21, 2006 - 04:19:46 PM »
My 70 Challenger w/ the 727 transmission has a knob type shifter handle with the button on top.  I've seen shifter handles shaped like a "T" also.  What determined which auto trans. got which shifter?
Thanks for any info you guys can give me.
Mark

1970 Only = Ball Shifter (All E-Bodies)
1971-1974 = T-Handle Shifter (All E-Bodies)

Though some rare 1971 E-Body odd balls have be known to come with T-Handles.
But don't take that into consideration. The above years are correct.
