     :clueless: Does anyone know what these letters stand for on the front drivers side of my 440 block?

    I am only guessing but most likely those are plant codes or casting mold codes

    Looks like the Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, DeSoto insignia as is stamped or cast in many Mopar Parts. :2thumbs:

    Yup that is the old Dodge Plymouth, Chrysler ,Desoto symbol , Desoto could have been division also as the symbol was used after Desoto was shut down
