No, that is not normal. It could be a typo though? If you post photos or if you can email them I can take a look at them for you if you like?

Whoops, my bad, the fender tag date is C05.  I don't know what the heck I was looking at the other day  :screwy:.  Anyway, that seems to jive with what you where saying earlier with the SPD being within a few weeks of the mylar tag.  Thanks

Interesting topic - I was ordering some stickers of the ECS website today and the changeover date for the emissions sticker was 10 Mar 70, my door sticker reads 3-1970 so I took a guess and went for the post - 10 Mar sticker.  Based on some of the info here I probably guessed right?

p.s.  So after posting this I went back and checked on the old rego papers and it has my car listed as sold on 07 Mar 70 - how does this line up with a build date or Mar 70, did they really get them to the dealership that quick???

The date code article has been updated using the tags found in my T/A seats. The car's SPD is 417, so some of the dates in my seats are quite early.

See page two;

Thanks to FY1_RTSE for his technical assistance.  :thumbsup:
