55 ford side molding

my dad has a 55 ford fairlane 2 door and i'm looking for the side chrome. i thought maybe somebody would run across it while looking there parts...

here is a picture it runs the full length of the car. also the 55 chrome is thin past the V in the doors.

Sheesh you'll loose some hair trying to find that.  ;D Certainly wouldn't pop up on eBaY everyday.  :)

Is that a Victoria? I'm not too up on the mid-fifties Fords but the trim may be unique to the Victorias if it is one.

the side molding is the same...yes that it a vicky, they had extra chrome that when across the roof

That is the original & the real Crown Victoria.  The late models that are called Crown Vics are neither. That is also probably the best looking car Ford ever made, except maybe for the 2 seat T-Birds.  Now if they only had Mopar engines!! (just kidding folks)   Ovmf

PS;  All the original Victorias (starting in the 50s that is) were 2 dr hardtops (no center post between front & back side glasses) except the Crown Vics, made in 55 & 56 had the wide chrome band across the top at the back of the door. The chrome band was what made it a "Crown" Vic.  There was a Ford Victoria made in the 30s, but it bore no resemblance to any of the later ones.  Ovmf
