Door tag question
« on: August 30, 2006 - 10:33:49 AM »
I just bought a set of 70 Challenger doors from a guy (in Leeper, PA). They are in almost perfect shape as they have been in his garage for a long time. The one door still has the tag on it that shows a VIN number. Would that be of interest to the owner of the original vehicle if it is still around? I would gladly give it to its rightful owner if they want it, and if someone can tell me how to remove it without damaging it. If it's worthwhile, I'll take a photo of it and post it here.

Please do take some photos before trying to remove it, depending on what plant the car is from Cody or I can check and see if it is registered. The photo can be saved if the car is not currently known and the owner of the car can have a new sticker made from the photo if needed.

Once you get a good clear photo you can try removing it with a heat gun or blow dryer and a razor blade, but it will likely damage the sticker.

T/Ake care,
Barry

I see JH 2.  ;)

I have not heard of this one before, but I will add the VIN to my registry and contact you if the car does ever surface. I have saved the photo as well just in case the owner of the car needs a new sticker made at some point.

Thanks for taking the time to mention it and post the photo!
