Fuel cell install.......
« on: September 19, 2006 - 11:27:53 AM »
I am wanting to put a fuel cell in my '73 Challenger. I want to be able to fill it thru the stock fill hole on the rear quarter.

With this adapter I think it is possible

Does any one know of a hose big enough/gas resistant, to connect the two?
What do you all think?

I hope it works out for you Tactrans.......   I kept the filler on the quarter, but am unable to use it with my fuel cell.  Couple of reasons for that, but you do what you have to do I guess...lol,  Keep us posted on what you end up doing......    :cooldancing:

I am going to mount my cell under the trunk floor so hopefully it will be about the right angle. :jumping:

I run the foam----keeps it from sloshing and when the level gets a little low, it keeps the fuel pretty level in the cell in order that the fuel pump can pick it up.  Down side to that----when it quits picking up the fuel----you are out of gas.....     :roflsmiley:       :cooldancing:

Does your e-bod have ladder bars or super stocks? The reason I ask is, they are kinda tight underneth when mounting the fuel pump, filter, and so forth. I went the custom cell route and I am very glad I did...The pump and filter are inside the tank.
