outside lower windshield trim - sealer or no sealer?
« on: September 24, 2006 - 04:58:28 PM »
I'm putting all the goodies back together under the hood after repainting the engine bed and was wondering if there should be any sealer in between the polished metal band that covers the base of the windshield? If so, what do you use?

I've owned 2 Cudas and neither one had any kind of sealer on the piece your talking about.

It didn't have any sealer or rust preventative. Water lays in there so use Por15 or something to keep the metal sealed.  I would not seal the metal strip.  If you do and it leaks the water may only be able to escape by rusting it's way out.
