Cuda Door Hinges?

I am getting ready to reassemble my car for final paint and I just noticed that I have a little wiggle room in the bottom of my door hinges. I see that there are rebuilding bushing and pin kits available and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them.. Do they work. The cost is around $25.

The other alternative is to send them to someone like SMS and have them rebuilt for about $200.  I am limited on time right now as it is now back at the body shop.

The body shop suggested welding the hole closed and redrilling a new tighter hole for the pin.  Any thoughts or advice from previous experience would be appreciated.

Rebush them unless it is a #s car. Way less expensive and I have nice closing doors now. Also remember to lubricate the door hinge at the start of each season - I will use a little ol 30W motor oil.

I would bush them too , welding & redrilling should work to as long the pin is not badly worn

All good advice. Allso, you can get the bushings and pins from most auto parts stores for a lot cheaper than those $25 kits. Those kits are a rip off!

Thanks for your replies. I will hunt down the Hinge pin and bushing kit and try that first.
