Need Info On 340 Intake???
« on: October 07, 2006 - 03:17:35 AM »
Is this intake I'm about to describe what's commonly called an "Edelbrock" LD 340 :clueless: This intake I'm looking at has the markings Id numbers "LD 4B" on the front and is an Edelbrock make apparently for a Mopar small block also has Chrysler stamped on it with a part # listed ....I hear good things about the old LD intakes as to performance???
On my 71 Cuda I have the original factory intake and TQ carb on it now......will the TQ carb fit with an LD 340 intake without any problems and if so is this LD intake much better performance wise than the original intake ???

Thanks  "Tim"

Not sure, but if it is a spread bore intake it will fit a TQ.

the LD4B is a great / rare intake , it is one of the very few intakes actually designed for the 318/273 With the matching smaller  intake ports  , I do not recommend using it for the 340 / 360

Thanks for the info.............Since it's designed for the smaller 273 / 318 engine I will stick with my original factory 340 intake that I have on there now matched with my TQ Carb :swaying: :swaying:
