First time Mopar guy from Oregon
« on: October 09, 2006 - 10:48:53 PM »
Hi everyone, I'm a long time AMX and Javelin guy but I've caught the Mopar bug and decided to try that for a change. That's if I can find the car I"m looking for, I thought AMC's were hard to find until I started this search. I'll post in the wanted section here and I'm sure I'll need some adult supervision to get things right once I get a car bought soon I hope.  thanks,  Dean

Welcome to the site Dean. Challenger RT big block cars are not to hard to find it's just the price that scares most people away unless you buy a project car. You will find out this is a great site and lots of good people here who will help when ever they can.

Hello Dean!  Shoot me an email with your phone # when you have time.  There is a little Mopar show going on this weekend at a local Dodge dealer and a bunch of the mopar clubs will be there.

Welcome to the site, Dean!!!!  My neighbor's really getting big into AMC's (Mopar enthusiast, too) and why not, they're pretty cool little cars and the prices are still within reasoning. (he has an original 44,000 mile '68 AMX and two or three Javelins now...Big Bad colors on the Javs.) :2thumbs:

Thanks everyone,
This seems like a great group just like our AMC bunch. yeah AMX's have really done well the last few years maybe because of the mopar inlaw thing? we still get treated like the red headed step child at most shows but it's getting better all the time, but now I'm looking forward to working on a car that parts are easier to get and I'll  be a little more main stream for a change. I just hope I don't wear out my welcome as I'll have many questions on this forum, I'm a perfectionist with my cars but not much else though.
