hood pin lanyard routing

71 cuda, where should the lanyard for the hood pins be routed through?...the inner headlight ring hole, outer, mounting hole for upper grill fastener?

nope, pics is poor at best and text does not indicate on a cuda where it is routed through.
this is a picture I found online showing route used, on this one...
so I have ran them through the inner head light bezel relief that is cut out of grill above light bezel, looks correct but still unsure.

under the hood should the lanyard also be routed through the metal tab that comes off the back of header panel?
