383 hp motor

How much should i have to pay for a 69 or 70 383 hp motor?
If my car was built on 10- 1969 what date motor should i have 70 or 69
It is a 70 challenger

with over 3 milion 383s built I can`t see paying much for one
no motor is correct but hte #s block but the original block would have been cast approx 4 months before the car so it should be cast around 6-69

I try to not pay more than it's worth. But to the guy that needs it for his car..that could be higher than my price. For a block, $50-100. FOr a complete, with the right dated everyhting carb to oil pan, exh manifolds, everything, I'd think a good running one would set you back $1000-1200.

If you want to be correct on the block, it should say F 383 too where E=1969, F=1970 and G=1971
