I shoulda known better...
« on: May 31, 2010 - 09:04:53 AM »
Well, I got a buddy to list the '72 on the Bay last night around 11:00 PM...It didn't last 12 hours as some as*hole named "Drinkfishindawg" CLAIMED he went to the pisser and his 17 Y/O made on offer and bought it..Now he wants to retract his bid....I shoulda known better than to trust The Bay as this sh*t makes for a bad day...Now we can't do sh*t with the auction as far as relisting it until the 6th of Fu**in June...Being that a friend was selling it, I have no recourse as far as EBay goes..Damn, this is enough to piss a person off...

Have your friend file all the BS through fleebay, threaten him with legal action (the buyer, not your friend...lol), etc. It works sometimes.

I sold a RR for a friend a while back and the buyer claimed he was drunk when he hit the Buy-It-Now, but still followed through with the deal.

Fianlly got it relisted..It's jerks like this that give E-Pay a bad rep...Dude has ONE (1) feedback and I'm thinking it's because he's had to come up with a new user name because of doing this very thing too much...

Don't use a "Buy it now" figure. That would stop this kind of stuff.

Well, the only other option is waiting for a BS bidder to drive up the bid only to be a POS anyway....So, I can't win either way....I just wanna sell it, be done with the deal and everybody's happy, but I guess it isn't meant to be in this day and age...I myself, am one that doesn't even reply, look at, watch, whatever on an item unless I've made up my mind I'm buying it...

Thanks to a REAL POS up In NY state, The Challenger is back up for sale..

It works both ways. I have a few people I know that will set up an auction. Once the bidding starts, an asshole buddy will bid up and up against legitimate bidders. They don't care if they sell the item right away - they just want to jack up the price. Not all buyers are assholes, and not all sellers are assholes. But, damn, there are a LOT of assholes out there.
