I had bought a 69 440 fresh air air cleaner base and lid from Ben and had a local sheet metal shop fabricate it to reduce it's height by 2". Worked great for a single carb air cleaner for non fresh air applications in case anybody is doing that. Gene gregory also did the ground work I understand for the base plate for the 2 4bbl marine intake that Mopar sells. This is available from forhemisonly.com.  I think his name is Tim Banning and he was telling me that he re-engineered this plate after Gene did it as there were problems.

It seems what I need is the most $$$ out there. I'm gonna stop by my body man (who's restorings his 70 Chally 440 BTW) and see maybe if he can just fabricate my existing base for proper fit.  :dunno:  Gotta be worth a try.
70 Chally R/T Convertible- Yes she's really got a HEMI, no she's not a Charger!

:iagree: It is worth a shot... unless you can find someone who has the exact setup it is probably your best bet. Go for it!
