MagnaFlow Stainless Exhaust???
« on: October 10, 2006 - 08:22:20 AM »
I'm looking for a new exhaust system for my 71 Cuda 340 4-speed...........The system will be from headers back......Has anyone used the MagnaFlow stainless exhaust kits that are available including an X pipe for E bodies??  If so just wonder how the system fit.......If possible I would like something that fit's pretty well without alot of modifications as I plan of doing it at home if at all possible.
As Always...Much Appreciated!!

My father bought the system when it first came out and I did a little writeup about it on one of the threads...I recommend it because it is extremely well made and will last a long time, however it isnt a bolt in deal unless you have the right headers. Put it this way, I liked the kit enough that I bought the same setup for my Challenger.

Here is the thread that I posted over a year ago about the exhaust, toward the end is the install.

I never posted sound clip (oops) but I know I posted pictures on a thread somewhere....Anywhere here is a picture that I still had on my computer. If you want some more I can probably get some when I have a chance.

Yes that is the 2.5 system in the picture. I must note that since the exhaust was installed the headers have been changed from staggered length hedmanns to  same length Hooker competitions and now the exhaust is a more "bolt in" type deal. You still will need a welder, plenty of patience, and a friend would be pretty handy to. Good luck!
