Howdy Folks,
I can't seem to find out anything about my convertible top's frame "hold down clips".
I don't even know if this was a standard to the e-body convertibles or not. The car was restored by the previous owner. I don't have a picture at the moment but I could provide one if necessary later on as the car is in a shop about an hour's drive away. Inside the 'well', behind the rear seat, where the top resides when folded down, my '70 Challenger has, on either side, spring loaded retainer clips that hold down (secure) the convertible top. These are 3/8" wide flat steel risers (about 6" in lenght), bolted to the inside of the 'well'. Attached to the top of these are solid nylon (or plastic) molded, square shaped 'clips' that snap to the top's frame to hold it tight in the well. I don't know what they're called, nor have I been able to locate any information on the internet about these. I need to replace one of them as it is damaged.
Can anyone shed some light on this.
Thanks.
