What's the story on R/T front grills?
« on: October 22, 2006 - 09:37:00 AM »
As is a frequent occurance, I'm confused.  I have seen the eggcrate grills on Chally R/Ts in both natural color grey and also painted black.  I can't figure out which is correct - or are both right depending on other factors.  I have a 70 R/T convertible and it has a greyish grill.  Is this correct or not??   :pullinghair:
I figured you guys would know for sure!
Thanks

I agree with you, but I think he was talking about the eggcrate section. I believe they should be silver in all cases, but I have seen them painted black. They don't look bad that way either.  :2cents:

Yes - I was referring to the eggcrate part.  So it is supposed to be argent (silvery) on all R/Ts?

yes it was natural ,it was actually a flourecent light diffuser panel , the first 2 ribs Should be left natural [clear anodized alum] around the eggcrate/ diffuser on a black grill
