Well I need another Cuda like a hole in the head, but I just can't help myself sometimes. I recently heard about a Cuda for sale near my parents house. I talked to a kid who looked at the car 4 years ago and offered the guy some ridiculously low amount of money and the guy wouldn't take it. I asked him for directions and he couldn't really remember, or else he didn't want to tell me. All he said was that it had flames, was a 4 speed and had a 440. So naturally I had to keep looking. He did tell me the town that it was in, so my dad and I took a drive last weekend to see what we could find. We walked into the only store in town and spoke with the owner. I said I hear there's a guy with an old plymouth barracuda. The lady says oh you must mean so and so and points me in the right direction. We end up at this guys house...........actually compound........way back in the woods. The guy had tons and tons of cars, mostly corvettes. I introduced myself and the guy tells me that he does still have the cuda but that it's been sold for three years. I asked him if I could look at it and he says sure.
The car is a real 340 4 spd Hemi Orange with ralley dash, road lamps, hood pins. The guy said that he had it for 20 years and blew up a 440 that was in the car. He said that he did sell it to a friend but that was three years ago and he never picked it up. The interior of the car was immaculate. The bad part is the car has some awful flares on all 4 corners that would need to be replaced. The guy is an "artist" and has all kinds of weird sculptures and apparently likes to keep his manican collection near the cuda. I didn't move the manican's because it was so funny looking. Anyway I am in the process of seeing if I can get the car.
