The unit came with the electronics that have the on/off toggle switch. I'm hoping this is the correct one the NZ440R/T spoke of.

Unfortunately that is the "stock" unit. I did the same as you, I purchased the stock unit then did some research on the system and was informed by Jordan at GV that the unit was available. What I would HIGHLY suggest is waiting it out until the new units are completed. They realised the problem of the existing Auto-shift units and are now correcting and improving the system. The auto-shift unit comes with two small lights, green (for OD on) and red (for OD off). We made a custom bracket to fit snuggly on the upper right hand side of the dash cluster. I'll post a few photos of my interior switch and GV setup. It looks really tidy and factory looking.

Check out this video of the GVs guy driving the car with the stock unit. You'll notice a bad delay or "searching" when he has to kick the OD out manually between gears. It's a performance drain, sounds "messy" and is hard to get smooth if at all, every-time. The auto-shift unit takes OD out, the best modification to the GVs units by a country mile. Just some time needed to get the module electrics smooth and precise, bugs basically, being a prototype when we got it is the reason we had major problems, it still worked 80% correctly. Check out the video, it's about 7 minutes in but worth listening to for your own reference and it's also a decent tech video on the unit itself.

All you need to do is call them up and ask about the new modules. Put your name down on the waiting list so when they're made you get in first. They are a $450 upgrade on the stock system, so you would be $450 out of pocket and the stock electronics would become obsolete as you won't be able to use them but, I'm telling you it's worth every penny. The gear-box works with both boxes so you don't have to re-order the entire system.

Ornamental - Good decision mate, me and you are both on the waiting list. I would call up as well to get on it, not too many would know of this new module being built so the earlier you can place your order the better. Talk to Jordan, he's the man with the inside scoops and "connections" at GVs.

Fantastic looking Charger by-the-way, she'll sound great pegging 6 short ratios!!

Carl
