Was the owner's name Randy? The guy that used to run the Cuda Connection in the LA area? If so I saw the car ouside his shop back in 1988.

    I also remember a Car Craft article way back stating the car was in a bad accident but was cut in half and restored 'good' as new.Seems I remember the car as red???

That would be Randy Gerstenberg...Owned Cuda Country, well known for questionable resto work...Just ask Steve Wall....Pretty car though...  BTW It was originally a Sassy Grass 383 car...

Yep! That's the car alright! I remember it as being Rallye Red but it could have been Tor-Red (Hemi Orange) It's been about many years afterall, I guess it could have been either one.

  I took that photo in 87 at the Power in the Pines Show at the Kirkwood ski resort...We're all getting old... BTW I need a nap now...

The Manix car is owned by Ken Swanky a local bodyshop owner and a large collector of Cuda's. The car was made out of a '71 Cuda. He said one of the hardist things to do was puddy up the '71 Gill fenders. When they stripped the car that is what they found. All the '71 stuff was covered to turn it into a '72 which didn't exist.
