Hi Billy, welcome!

Wowzers, your car definately has the intimidation factor!

I say, if it runs good now, drive it and enjoy it.  Definately cool and unique!

Weird question but how does it handle around corners with that tire set up?
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Looks great now!Changing it back would take a fair amount of work to find a clean back floor section and have it welded in properly. Not being  a rare numbers R/T car I would enjoy it as is.

Thank you everyone. I appreciate all of your positive complements and suggestions on my Challenger. Please, give me your opinions. I won’t be offended. I welcome them, as I will use all of your suggestions when determining how to rebuilding my car. Yes, I understand I’m the only one who can make the decision on which way to go on the rebuild. It’s just that having a completely stock Mopar seem to be what’s popular now and retains the most value. But you know… you’re all right. I will keep it as a Pro Street, enjoy it, and have fun. The one thing I would like to do is try and keep a stock appearance.

Rev-It-Up, I want to thank you. If it wasn’t for your excellent SE rebuild website and your husband, Red Line, I would never have found this place. I’m the guy that was emailing him all the questions on my SE headliner.   :2thumbs:

The car looks good from 12 feet away but needs a lot of work. I was told it came from Arizona. Isn’t that the place where all Mopars come from?  :roflsmiley: This could be true; the car has very minimal signs of rust. One area of concern thought, is the cowl. It looks like the car was sitting outside in the weather for a long time and the drain passages became clogged with debris. As a result, each corner of the cowl is rusted out. With the car being an SE, I think it would look better with the vinyl top back on. I found SE trim on Ebay but I’m having trouble finding the clips that hold the trim in place. Any suggestion?  :working:

SilverChally, the car has a 3-link suspension and coilover setup. The rear tires are 33 x 21.5 – 15s.  :ylsuper:

Super Blue 72, within reason, the car turns amazingly well. I believe that to be because of the car having a 3-link setup and not a 4-link.

I need your opinions on the wheels. I’m tired of the same old centerline wheels and would like something different. 1 Wild R/T had mentioned about modifying stock rally wheels. I found these wheels from Stockton Wheels. They’re called Mopar Rally - 41 Series. These wheels are 15x10 & 14x7 as shown in the picture. The wheels come chrome, painted, or raw. A complete line of center caps, trim rings and lug nuts are available with the exception of the wider wheels, they don’t come with beauty rings. What do you guys think about these wheels on a Pro Street? I like them, but I’m not sure how they will look. Does anyone have or know where I could find pictures of these modified wheels on a car. I’ve tried looking through all my Mopar magazines and searched the net but had no luck. I’ve even tried calling the Stockton Wheel Company to ask if they had any pictures of the Mopar Rally 41 wheels on a Pro Street car. All they said they had was what was on their web page. I would really love to see how the wheels look on a car before I buy them. Any additional pictures or comments on these wheels or any other wheels would be appreciated.
Thanks again for welcoming me aboard.

Billy
