I notice that while watching it... I thought it was a 72-4 front clip on a 70 body.

I could never really tell...seams there are other opinions... but I was looking more for a clear image sometimes the modifications look good, other times they suck.  I doubt I would ever do it, but was curious

If you want more info on this car check out my reply on this page if you haven't already seen it.

Also, I think there is a newbie in the last month or so that had what looked like a '72 Challenger but it turns out the car is a '71 with a '72 front clip.  I think the front side markers are '72s and the rear were '71 (chrome).

I did the 70-71 marker light thing on my 72 Challenger about 10 years back.  I never liked the "stick-on" markers.  So when it was time to do quarters and fenders, I used the 70-71 style.  Just a subtle change that I thought improves the overall look.

Hey Plum! That does look really good, thats about my least favorite feature of the 72-74 Ebodies, not sure why they would change the marker lights. BTW welcome to the forum and feel free to introduce yourself in the Newbie section.  Welcome  :newbie:    :bananasmi

not sure why they would change the marker lights.

Because they started using the new ones across most (all?) vehicle lines at the same time.  Cheaper.  Same holes and mount points on every model.  Cheaper.  Beancounters smiled.

I considered the change ... some would love it, some would hate it...

I wish they were painted like the cuda versions...

I recessed the 72-74 style side markers on my wife's car.
Don't have to worry about having to buy the bezels, etc to convert to the 70-71 style.
