My first Show with my 1971 Challenger
« on: April 10, 2018 - 02:44:11 PM »
I pick up my restored 1971 Challenger late Aug. 2017 I had a few thing to done like a wheel  alignment, brakes adjusted and slowly tried too brake in the rebuilt 383 engine. I would put about 150 mile on it before storing it for the winter here in Michigan. In February I was asks if I would like to enter the car in the Detroit Autorama in March. I felt honored to be asked and it would be the first car show ever I entered it in. I was so excited once the time came, and the club that invited helped me with everything setting up the car, once done my car looked pretty good. The class I was put in was Conservative Hardtop 1970-1971 and it was a large class with some beautiful cars in it. I was just glad to be there talking to all the Gear heads and other car lovers, the day of the awards program, I volunteered to stay and watch the clubs items. Later I got a phone call from a members of the club telling me I won and to come pick it up. Wow, by it being a large class the awards went from 1st - 5th, I took 5th place, what a way to start the year !!!
