Side marker housing trim
« on: November 01, 2006 - 01:14:56 PM »
Just had my side marker housings re chromed on my 70 Chally and now need to re paint the black trim in the groove.  Any suggestions on which product to use - and is it gloss or satin?  I don't want to go through the effort just to have it flake off.
  :1zhelp:    Thanks

Carefully scuff it and put some etching primer on first - SEM has a nice black etching primer and the trim black they have might be close enough too - used it on my 71 Challenger in quite a few places.

Mine have a black band painter in a groove around the housing.  I took some pics and would post them but havent figured out how to do it yet. I'll work on that - or maybe a little instruction on how to do it.

I'd say the paint look glossy on mine, although this isn't a great pic.  :banghead:
