More Fender Tag Help
« on: November 03, 2006 - 05:29:15 AM »
Spotted this in my work travels but don't know what some of these are. I've figured out some of it but there are a couple that I don't see in my code book.

Y14 Y39 26 END
A36 C16 C55 M21
R11 V1X 99 99 MCX
X9 B23 925687
63 D21 RM23H9E1?240?

It's a very solid 69 Roadrunner but some of the codes I can't find, the 99's the MCX etc.
I'll get some pictures when I get back that way to pick it up or even if it doesn't work out I'll at least post a picture or two.

Thanks!

Do you maybe have a photo of the tag?
MCX = should be the interior = medium ? black (maybe M6X?)
B23 will be the built date: 23. November 1968
Y 39 = special order, so the 99's could be the special order paint for roof and body, and X9 is the upper door frame paint = Black

Thanks Culvers, that's probably right on the M6X, I jotted down the numbers on my scratch pad and muffed the 6 in the code. I need to go back and check the radiator support and dash tag, the fender tag says it's a 2 door hardtop but it's a coupe. If radiator support matches it's priobably a typo on the tag but if not, someone is doing some tag switching somewhere. I do know for a fact it's an original 4 speed.
