Hood Pin Cable Alternatives
« on: November 03, 2006 - 03:18:22 PM »
I am in the process of getting a new hood trim piece for across the front of the hood. Is there any other alternative to having that damn cable running across the trim and scratching it up ??? I know that the cable is coated, but it still seems that over time it has to wear away at the trim.

Back when mine was a daily driver I used to just tuck mine in between the fender to hood gap. If it caused any wear I never noticed. This would not work on a Cuda though.

I do the same trap the cable into the gap between the hood & fender & tuck it under the front hood trim to keep it tight
