$25.00 doesn't sound to out of the way IMO, a little steep but.... :dunno:
Wait until you start seeing steering wheel, grille and fender prices..... :faint:

This may sound crazy Mango but do you have a Tractor Supply Co or other similar business in your area? 
That spring looks very much like items they carry for farm equipment, couldn't be more than 5 bucks.

Oh man, do I hear ya there! We found the car 4 years ago and it was missing every fender, bumper, bracket, grille,  outside lense, wheel, drivers glass and what seems like 500 other things. Now I've got it running for the first time since it was left to die outside in 1980 and I'm working on some of the "little stuff" !:  :2thumbs:
