73 Cuda Trunk Chrome Fixig Kit
« on: November 03, 2006 - 03:11:10 PM »
Hi
So I finally tracked down and bought the straight trunk trim for my Cuda- however the fixing kit I bought ages ago doesnt seem right - The springs etc all seem too small- plus its labelled up as a tailight panel fixing kit. Anyone no where I can get the correct fastening kit or what it looks like?
Thanks

Mark

If this is the strip that runs along the trunk lip, I just went to a bodyshop supply store and bought the spring studs and sheet metal nuts.  I don't have a pic handy but they look like studs with 2 wire springs attached to them.  I believe that they are for either a 3/4" or 1" molding - can't remember. If you need pics, let me know and I will see if I have an extra one that can be photo'd.

Yes, they were the same.  I can send you some if you don't have enough.

ps I was born in Leatherhead / Epsom (I have no idea exactly where that is) and moved to Canada in '67 when I was very young. My immediate family live in Canada but all my relatives still live in England and many are in the Surrey area (south London?).
