paint code and center caps
« on: November 03, 2006 - 03:24:09 AM »
Anyone know the PPG code number for argent silver used on 72 ralley wheels and centers?  Which center is correct for 72 challenger, the solid one or the one with center insert?  Do I remember right that you only use basecoat and no clearcoat?  Thanks.

Ford used the same Argent silver on their weels. I understand it is still available in a spray can at the dealer.  It used to spray out real nice; as well as a gun.  The part # is PM19K207AA.  Cost is $17.40 a can. Not cheap.

Thanks, but I couldn't get any results from that code, doesn't anyone know the PPG code number for argent silver?  Maybe someone that works in a PPG store, thanks.

That code is a Ford code that you take to a Ford dealer.  Ditzlers code is DX-8555.
