73 'cuda maybe 4sale
« on: October 30, 2006 - 07:34:03 AM »
Last year I sold my 73 cuda to a very nice young lady who was super excited to finally get the car of her dreams.
As we all know life throws you a curve every now and then, and I think she is thinking about selling it.
Its a #s matching 318, with an automatic. Originally blue w/white top and side stripe over blue interior. Now painted red with a black stripe around the back end. Some of you may remember the car and if you search the old posts you can find the fender tag and vin#s. It had new 1/4s put on a few years back, and the fenders and doors as well as the hood is decent, trunk lid however isnt. I sold it to her for $6200+another $600 in repair work(new water pump, transmission, trans filter kit, hoses, brake lines, battery, etc etc etc), its a running car. The brakes are weak and seems like when you repair the rusted line another soon leaks. She has purchased all the floor and trunk pans, trunk extensions, and a new fuel tank. It does have a small amount of rear frame rust in the dog leg on the drivers side, and the lower part of the extrenme rear.
She cashed in her 401K to purchase the car/parts. And she is now a dear friend. I have watched the eBay prices in the past year and have an idea what the car will bring now. Is there any intrest in this car and what do you feel would be a fair price, I know she will not take any less than she has invested. Please call me as I dont get on the boards as often as Id like. 717-749-3902 Thanks Shawn

Any chance this 1973 cuda was built in March?    the 8th????:clueless:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Ah!  He asked me that about my '73 challenger.  I bet it's his birthday.  It would be cool to have a car built on your exact birthday.

I was born in '72.  I've had over 45 cars and trucks over the years, many if not most in the 70's.  Can you believe I'VE NEVER OWNED EVEN ONE 1972 MODEL?!!  It's pure luck, not avoidance on my part.  Hell, my friend has bought not one but two '72 dusters, one a parts car.  I've had all sorts of 74's, 73's, 70's, etc.  Never a '72.

My birthday or the challenger?  The challenger turned out to be April '73-I went and checked for you yesterday.  My birthday is June 13 '72.

My birthday is June 13 '72.

The birth date of geniuses!

At least that is what my 7th grade reading teacher told me. I found out later that he and I shared a birthday. His was in 1909 though the way he looked........  :22yikes:

Here is the thread, but no pics in it and the pics in the ebay auction are no longer working.  :dunno:  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=17142.msg181042#msg181042
