Q about fuel lines?

Was gonna order em last night , year one lists my year as 2 seperate pieces71 & 76 bucks(no set which the 71"s have at 139) anyway there listed as mild steel, so I go to checkout & they want 61 bucks to ship em, geeze , they weigh 2 pounds!
So I go checkout herbs, 59 bucks each & 16 & change to ship, a tad more like it! But he is listing as OS aluminum, so thats the queston, am I good with herbs or should I look for someone else that has mild steel & reasonable shipping? Rich

I've never heard of aluminum lines before.  I did buy mine from Year One, and I know the pain. You get this HUGE box that weighs nothing. They basically bend the lines in half to get them in there.    Sorry I can't help, but I couldn't pass up a chance to vent.

Try Fine Lines or The Right Stuff. Cut out YO...They're just too expensive!!!

I agree with Fishn4cuda.  I got mine from Fine Lines.  They fit great every time. I've done A,B, and E bodies with no problems. I think you can even get them in stainless steel (no rust).  I don't remember the shipping being that much either.  Year One is great for many things, but too expensive for stuff like this. Just my 2 cents.

Hi,You need to get ahold of Right Stuff Detailing.Thats who makes the lines in the first place.For a little more money you can get the stainless lines.Just do away with the middle man.

Don't see the need for stainless, the lines I took out were still in tact after 30 years,I'm not gonna be alive in another 30 years!  was just wondering about the OS alum.
fine lines shipping section was down, there at 70 each(mild steel) so just need a shipping quote, had  no luck finding "the right stuff" website but I did see some cool planes & air speed records set!

I have always used right stuff and had really good luck with them buying full length fuel and brake lines. I have bought there axle lines and front brake lines and have yet to have a problem. They were always cheaper than fine lines or YO so I'am a loyal customer. They do have a web site and I will try to see if it will come through like a link.

One of the Mopar mags posted a strong negative on aluminum lines 10+ years back due to the tendency to work harden and crack if there was any freedom of movement at all.  Ditto with copper I believe.

Oh well to late, right stuff listed as OS also, so I went back to herbs & ordered, also got my trans & engine dipsticks, maybe i'll sell the car before they fail!  Rich.
