70-74 challenger doors

Is this the only diffrent between 70-74 doors
mounting holes for mirrors and outer window felt clip in for 70 and screw in for 71-74 any other diffrences

I think the mounting holes for the mirrors are the same for all years, it's just the 70 mirror had a shorter base, same bolt pattern though. The 73-74 doors are heavier due to some steel re-enforcements, but other than the window felt, that's the only thing I know that is different.

The only difference that I know of for sure is that the 1970 doors have more door panel clip holes on the bottom than 1971 doors do.

the spacing for the mirror bolts is the same , the base is longer though

Also, the '70 doors came with a different door latch that didn't let you lock the doors before you closed them

I forgot about that one.  :banghead:

I wonder why they dropped that after 1970? Seems like a good idea to me.  :grinyes:

Good idea? Just like the left hand threads on the left side wheels. Itwas a good idea till the other car companies didn't follow along.
