When i worked at Roebuck Chrysler Plymouth in 79 i remember making trips to the local Dodge dealer and seeing 318 Aspen R/Ts on their lot...

I should have more clear.  I friend of mine says he can "almost" get a 70 Chall. rt with a 318 suppose to be original.  Did Challenger rt's come with 318's?

The 318 was not included as the engine for the R/T option on the Challenger in either 70 or 71. Definitely worth looking into though. Let us know how it develops

My '71 hardtop 318 came to me with R/T badging on the rear quarters and the grille.  Needless to say not factory installed.  Perhaps a real R/T with engine replaced, perhaps a 318 with a stick-on (or bolt-on) badge upgrade.

But they made 340 R/Ts 


383, 440, 440-SIXPAK and HEMI's were the only Challenger R/T package in 1970. I'm not sure about Bees etc but being a vague question and being on a E-Body board one would guess you're talking about R/T Challengers.
