Found Broadcast Sheet / Missing Digit
« on: November 21, 2006 - 12:25:39 AM »
I recently bought a '70 Challenger R/T and the seller proudly gave me the broadcast sheet an upholstery shop found when they re-covered the driver's seat.  Unfortunately, it's not the sheet for the car I bought, but maybe it belongs to someone.

The first digit is missing, it was right where a coil from the seat was, so it was obliterated.

The number:

     S23N0E115552

I've deciphered that it's a 383 Magnum in Go-Mango.

Anyone's?

Robert

If it's from a Challenger, the first letter will be a "J".  Very nice of you Robert!  I hope someone claims it.

Nice find and well done for offering it up......I'd like to find mine. Even for the 'Cuda in all it's non-matching numbers glory, just cool to go through one that came with the car. Hope the rightful owner gets his cars birth cert back.

Only 9 digits away from someone in the registery.  Sooooo close.

Robert, please check out the registry for 1970 LA built cars.  I would like to try and help find the right owner for the sheet.  I'll PM you.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

My lap-top ran out of juice last night, so I didn't get a chance to post a jpg of the broadcast sheet, but it is attached below.  Cody already contacted me & I've requested his mailing info to send it off to him.  One interesting thing Cody pointed out is that this sheet shows this vehicle to have been built on 10-28-69, it's sequence number is 115552.  My R/T was built on 10-23-69, with a sequence number of 114710.  842 apart.  Wow.
