Hot August Nights
« on: August 12, 2003 - 05:29:50 PM »
Hot August Nights just finished up here in Reno, NV.  We get around 5,000 classic cars in town over a week, so it makes for a pretty fun week.  Usually you have to hunt around amongst all the other cars for the mopars, but there seemed to be a fair amount of them this year.  I took some shots of some, you can check them out at the following link if you like.

Thanks for the pics Sage!  Looks like a pretty good turn out representing mother Mopar.

:o Absolutely amazing!! Some of the sharpest cars that stood out for me were... '67 ragtop B'cuda, '68 Cornet RT, the SuperBird ( :D), the AAR Cuda (see note below!), '70 Ragtop Chally, the 6-pack '70 'Cuda, the copper '70 Chally ragtop RT, the General Lee (everybody start humming Dixie  ;)), the deep Blue '70 Charger, the late model red Chally with the awesome rims, the '70 'Cuda with the chrome torque thrusts, and NOS'ed Hemi ( :o).... in a Charger RT!!!!

AWESOME show SageCuda... great pics!! Wish I lived down there to see the cars...

Heya jkhvac!  Yeah, I live in Sparks.  Most of those pictures are from the Hilton shows.  Peppermill from 1 night.  A lot of them were from the Mopar meet down at the A&W on Plumb on Friday evening.  Lot of really great machines down there.  We caught the Hilton shows for 2 nights I think, always easy to walk around there.  Atlantis had a good show going on, once the lot filled up, they had a path that folks coming through could cruise through the middle of the lot, give everyone a chance to see their cars as the passed through.  Overall, was a pretty good year for HAN I thought.  No 71 Cudas, but you can't have everything I guess.  :)

Great pics !!

Thanks for posting them.  It looks like there were a lot of Mopars there.  I like being able to look at Challengers, Cudas, Chargers, Coronets, GTXs, RoadRunners, Super Bees, Darts, Dusters, and I've probably left out a few.  If you're a Chebbie fan, you get to see, Camaros, Chevelles, a 55 - 57 or two and that's about it.  :-[
 Phord, it's Mustangs and T-Birds. :P

Thanks again  ;D

The AAR is Alpine white code EW1
but it is painted wrong if it is a real AAR , the top of the hood & fenders should be black
