Gas Additives

I know about octane boosters, but don't they have gas additives so that you can leave a tank of gas in your car and not have to worry about it rotting in a year?  Is there a preference for one of these?  Is it better to just keep minimal gas in the tank (won't that lead to the sending unit and inner tank rusting?), or fill it all the way up and get an additive?  Thanks.

Fill er up and add some of this----Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer.   That stuff works.. We used to use it in gas powered equipment on the fire trucks.  It might be months between call where some of those tools were needed and they cranked and ran great every time....

Sta-bil does work.  It's important to keep a full tank of gas too. That way there isn't any chance of condensation rusting out the tank from the inside.

Thanks all, a full tank of 93 octane with Sta-Bil coming right up, after I burn out the old, oxidizing gas...
