    Roof Rail Sealant and Gaskets

    Does anyone have an exploded view or details related to the type and order of installation for sealant, gaskets and parts associated with the roof rail assembly on a 71 Challenger?  The service manual I have does not provide near the detail needed.  :clueless:  Thanks

    Here's the pictures I took of my 72 Cuda when dis-assembling it.  I'll post them in reverse order.  Hope these help.

    Thanks a bunch!  :thumbsup:  That really is a big help to me.  I've got a few pics, but they are not good quality and I did not have the order down.  They are pretty much useless.  After looking at your pics I have something to help guide me along.  In your first pic of the main roof rail, is that weatherstriping putty or a gasket between the roof metal and the roof rail?  I seem to recall a bunch of gooey tar-like sealant when I pulled mine apart and I'm guessing that was a water seal underneath the main rail.  Well, time to pull out all the weatherstriping stuff I purchased and see if anything looks familiar.  Mucho Gracias  :smokin:

    Ahh, saved me from searching that out!
    I got the inner foam rolls off ebay, I think the seller was loretta filmore(they sell all kinds of gaskets) if ya need I will dig up a link. Rich.
