hi again
I was wonding when somebody was going to ask me that. LOL  as to your question about the handle purpleroadrunner it not quite what you think it stands for. Although it is great handle for anybody who ownes a roadrunner which is a awesome car. but the handle actually came from a motorcycle I own. I was in a motorcycle club for a couple of years and the bike was a dark blue with purple accents, and had a horn that sounded like the roadrunner of looney toons, the nickname of purpleroadrunner stuck and was easy to remember. So sorry to all those roadrunner fans out there.

Welcome aboard purpleroadrunner, Did you say you have a 1962 383, WOW! Is it the two 4 barrel engine with 343 h.p.
If so you have a very rare engine and that would be pretty neat in that car. So you could say you would have a Challenger/Dart cop car..Cool.......

It would be nice if it was, but I doubt it is that rare, I never have that kind of luck, what I did recieve it from was a 62 300(new yorker)  not sure if it was a factory police car but I know that the car served as a cop car a single cherry on top, spotlight and what was left of a star on both sides of the front doors, as I got the motor 2 months ago part of the deal for it was to strip the car for all salvagable parts, dash, glass body parts, trim. I know it has been sitting a junk yard better half of 30 years wasn't much to salvage.  The 383 has a 4bbl intake whick looks stock but for the most part I know it has a HP 38 stamped in block, I am just hopeing that the motor is solid I can't see any cracks drained the oil and there was no water and was able to turn the crank, so maybe I got lucky, I need to see if I can get a vin off of it now that you have peaked my curiosity   ???      If anybody has any info on this please let me know

oh BTW of basically the car I pulled it from (not this one but same body)
and ya I jabber alot
