Starting my New Years diet early.
« on: December 31, 2006 - 05:16:10 AM »
My cudas diet that is!Weighed the stock dual scoop hood = 67 lbs and the race weight AAR hood = 27 lbs for a savings of 40 lbs plus the hinges if I don`t use them weigh 12 lbs.I am leaning towards going with a fiberglass front bumper also and figure there`s at least 20-25 lbs to lose using lightweight brackets. That`s roughly 70-75 pounds of the front of the car so should help a little both at the drags and cornering but of course I`m only doing it for the gas mileage!  ;) Any other "dieting" ideas?I work in a sheet metal shop so maybe making some brackets and such out of aluminum?
