Just curious...how much weight does that save you?

If I remember correctly they were approx. 18 lbs. each. If you want to get more weight off, a A/M windshield another 9 lbs. , Front bumper reinforcement 23lbs. The rear bumper has one also , but you want to keep that one there for weight in the back...A bench seat maybe lighter too. I know the Duster bench is about 25lbs. lighter than the two buckets.

Weight saving ? with a 543 " motor I wouldn't worry too much about weight. Anyway , outside of fiberglass panels you could strip all the paint off the front sheet metal & doors and send them out to the acid dippers. Also you can move the wheelbase on the car 1" , its like taking off a couple hundred lbs. off the nose...Not to hard to do, a little drilling  moving this and that some welding, and presto great weight transfer..and a set of Cal-Trac's with a adjustable rear shocks. I also used '67 Valiant front drum brake set-up, (real small brakes/spindles, 23lbs per side lighter) but don't expect to stop very good. That's if you want to keep it relatively stock looking , but C-P would probably put a 4-link in it with big tubs....(Now your going to make me want to go racing again).....

lol you know you already wanna go racin again.....thanks for all the info.....i guess its a never-eending cycle...you take weight out of the car only to put it back in stiffening it up with a cage frame connectors etc...  :working: no matter what your doin you gotta love workin on mopars though
