Eagle cranks from Mancini
« on: December 18, 2006 - 07:45:41 PM »
Just got my Eagle 4.15 crank from Mancini. I was on their website and found Eagle cranks for $495.00 brand new. The only thing is the journals are undersized by.010 :dunno: This is not a big deal to me, just thought I would share the info. When I ordered it Wes at Mancini said they only have a few left. :bananasmi

Yeah, they are factory defects, so they turn them down to .010 and sell them that way. A screaming deal IMO...

It's still a great deal. How many cranks do you know of factory material runnign at .010 under? The Eagle is a better material and design to start with. And to be honest, I know several Eagle and Ohio Crank units (440 Source too) that were so bad out of the box they had to be turned anyway. At least this way you're not paying full boat and then turning it...lol.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. There's not a thing wrong with a .010 under crank!

.010 under will be just fine.     It also slows the bearing speed down, however a tiny bit...   :bigshades:  I have actually known of Chebbie racers that turn perfectly good cranks .010 just to make sure and get clearances exact and reduce bearing speed a little....     :ylsuper:     :cooldancing:
