Another color question

I'm pretty sure the top plate the hood pop up spring is supposed to be body color but what abour the vertical brace that bolts under it? black or body color I've seen both?  thanks

That would depend on whether your car radiator core support was blacked out or not from the factory.  Most I have seen are body color.

Body color, and then the front part and sides blacked out.

That's what it looked like when I stripped it, anything else blacked out behind th grill other than that?

I heard or read (fron Lord Galen) that it is the same with this as the cowl area...bright colored cars had this painted black, dark colored cars (black, ivy green, jamaica blue, etc.) had this painted body color.

The engineering drawing for the radiator suport blackout can be seen here;

Every car I have seen has black overspray on the top radiator support bar.

It also states that TX9, EF8 and EB7 cars were exempt from the blackout paint, but I have seen a TX9 car and an EF8 car that both had it.  :dunno:

If you have a car that is one of those colors and it has the blackout paint, them but it back when you restore it.  :wave:
